Online Mental Health First Aider

Mental Health First Aider course – online (4 sessions over 10-14 days).
This course qualifies you as a Mental Health First Aider with MHFA England, giving you:
- An in-depth understanding of mental health and the factors that can affect wellbeing
- Practical skills to spot the triggers and signs of mental health issues
- Confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress
- Enhanced interpersonal skills such as non-judgemental listening
- Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support – whether that’s self-help resources, through their employer, the NHS, or a mix
- Online: Access to a bespoke learning hub for independent learning task (up to 8 hours commitment) then 4 live session of 2.5 hours over the period of 2 weeks.
- Learning takes place through a mix of presentations, group discussions and workshop activities
- Each session is built around a Mental Health First Aid action plan
- We limit numbers to 16 people per course so that the instructor can keep people safe and supported while they learn
Live session commitment times
Session 1: 24th January 9:30am – 12pm
Session 2: 26th January 1:30pm – 4pm
Session 3: 31st January 9:30am – 12pm
Session 4: 2nd February 1:30pm – 4pm
Everyone who completes the course gets:
- A certificate of attendance to say you are a Mental Health First Aider
- A comprehensive manual to refer to whenever you need it
- A quick reference card for the Mental Health First Aid action plan
- A workbook including a helpful toolkit to support your own mental health
- Mindcare Training offers unique value with 4 quarterly debriefs (for an hour over zoom) for companies or groups to review their MHFAider skills in a non-formal setting with Louise. We discuss good practice, difficult scenarios and add in current resources.
