Aims of this session

  • To understand what is self-esteem and why is it important.
  • To think about the value we hold for ourselves and those we manage.
  • To explore how increasing self-esteem can be a springboard for transforming the staff in our care.
  • To consider ways in which we can be part of staff realising their intrinsic worth.

Session outcomes

At the end of the session, you will be able to:

  • Reflect on why self-esteem is important.
  • Have space to consider our and others’ value.
  • Understand how good self-esteem can empower us to move forwards in life.
  • Reflect on ways to increase our confidence and that of our staff.
